NAB, All-Blogs, PABS. Are you confused now? I am definitely, and I’m not really in the mood to read thru’ all these verbose so-po blogs (no offense =P) to find out what it really is. So, here’s a table which hopefully can clear up everything.

Pls comment if there are any inaccuracies above.

Don’t Feel Flattered if Ppl Calls You A Tai Chi Master!!!

Ichi the Killer wrote:

In Malaysia, however (not sure about other Asian countries as well), apart from the above we have an alternative meaning for Tai Chi. If someone says you are a classic Tai Chi Master, do not feel flattered and thank the fella, especially if it’s your Boss or colleague saying it to you. Why?

Because it means that you are very clever at pushing aside jobs and responsibilities and basically avoiding being accountable for anything at all, even if that something falls directly under your area of responsibility or supervision. A true alternative Tai Chi Master is able to avoid and push aside all manner of dirt and recriminations thrown at him/her and make it stick onto others, so that he/she comes out smelling like roses.

lol…

Malaysia - Where Computing is Cool for Girls!!!

Rapeepat Jumnongjit wrote:

In Malaysia an education in computing is popular with girls and computing is considered a suitable career for women. In Norway, however only few girls choose computing as major subject. It is often said that a girl at a computer is like a fish out of water. The question that is often asked is: Is it the girls or the subject that there’s something wrong within the problem which must be addressed?, and must be changed? This has, at times become quite a politicised debate, Lagesen points out.

didn’t know this…I thought it’s still quite a male-dominated scene?

Top 20 Asian progressives

via WorldBusiness:

Who are the modernisers and reformers steering the region towards good business practice, transparency and management excellence?

Other publications list Asia’s most influential, or its most powerful or richest, but World Business is more forward-looking than that. We have spotlighted the individuals driving Asia forward - those that are helping to bring about rules-based civil societies, or who are advancing the cause of better governance, be it in business or government. One of the greatest guarantees of freedom is the free-flow of information, debate and commentary, and so our list includes several who are integral to promoting debate where governments of the region seek to restrict it:

2. RAJA PETRA KAMARUDIN, MALAYSIA
7. MAHATHIR MOHAMAD, MALAYSIA
10. SYED MOKHTAR AL-BUKHARY, MALAYSIA
17. ZETI AKHTAR AZIZ, MALAYSIA

From Michael Backman’s Malaysia Bodoh to Malaysia Boleh!!! 4 out of 20 are Malaysians!

Unique advertisements in Malaysia

xes wrote:

Unlike those unique advertisements in other countries such as Japan, Malaysia doesn’t have many unique advertisements which are blog worthy. However, the following advertisements are pretty unique.

Adhesive Tape advertisement - their tape is so good till it could stick their own advertisement.
